Synopsis:
The Refugee All Stars tells the story of a group of six musicians from Sierra Leone who come together to form a band while living as refugees in the West African nation of Guinea. Forced from their homes during Sierra Leone's brutal civil war, the film details the group's heroic stories of survival and their daily struggle to keep hope and music alive. THE REFUGEE ALL STARS is an inspiring story of rebirth in the wake of the horrors of war and a triumphant celebration of the human spirit. Director's Bio:
Director/Producer Zach Niles comes from a music industry background and has been fortunate to be a part of the production and promotion of some of the largest rock-n-roll tours including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Simon and Garfunkel. This is his first film. Banker White is a multi-disciplinary artist who has written and directed many short films including, I am Your Appetite, which was recently featured on San Francisco's KRON 4's show Bay Area Backroads. This is Banker's feature film debut. |
