Synopsis:
An unflinching look at the lives of male to female, transsexual women in men's prisons in the United States. Most transsexuals have not had sex reassignment surgery, and prisons place inmates according to their "gender assigned at birth," not their gender identity.

Director's Bio:
Janet Baus is a producer, director editor for PBS, cable, and independent productions whose awards include Cine Golden Eagle, The Vito Russo Award, the Chicago International Television Award, Gold Aurora Award, National Educational Media Bronze Apple, and many others.Dan Hunt has been creating award-winning programming for Public Television since the late 1980s. His numerous projects include Dangerous Livin' Here, After Stonewall: From the Riots to the Millenium, and AIDS, Names from Home, which have earned Hunt several awards including Silver Angel Award Excellence in Media, NAME Video Award, Gracie Allen Award for Drama (American Women in Radio & TV) and Best Documentary at the Hometown Film Festival.
