Synopsis:
My Country, My Country reveals the agonizing predicament and gradual descent of one man caught in the tragic circumstances and contradictions of the US occupation of Iraq and its effort to spread democracy in the Middle East on the eve of the controversial January 2005 elections.

Director's Bio:
Laura Poitras' last film Flag Wars, received top honors at numerous film festivals, including Best Documentary at SXSW Film Festival and was nominated for an Emmy and an Independent Spirit Award and earned Poitras a Peabody Award. She lives in New York City.
