Narrative Feature

    World Premiere
Synopsis:
AMERICANESE follows the break up of Raymond and Aurora, an Asian American couple with very different backgrounds. Almost an anti-love story, the film explores the emotional shock that sets in after their separation and how that inertia lays the groundwork for their respective futures.
Director's Bio:
Eric Byler's short film Kenji's Faith (1994) won seven festival awards, as well as a nomination for "The Student Academy Awards" sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. His first feature, Charlotte Sometimes (2002), received the Audience Award for First Films Narrative at the SXSW Film Festival.
