Synopsis:
In the 1980s, the music of England's The Smiths struck a chord with disaffected youth the world over. Nearly twenty years later,thousands of young Latinos have rejected media marketing and the relentless hip-hop hype to redefine this music, spawning a fascinating movement marked by both sound and aesthetic.

Director's Bio:
Based in Los Angeles, Hundley is a frequently published film and music journalist, as well as screenwriter and director. She just completed her second book, a biography of country rock icon, Gram Parsons, entitled, Grievous Angel. Jonathan Miertschin lives in Los Angeles, CA where he works in television development. He holds a BA in studio art from the Universtiy of Texas at Austin and an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California.
