Synopsis:
Gabrielle explores the marital breakdown that overwhelms a middle aged bourgeois couple, Jean (Pascal Greggory) and Gabrielle (Isabelle Huppert) in France at the turn-of-the-century. Directed by Patrice Chereau (Queen Margot, Those Who Love Me Can Take The Train) and based on Joseph Conrad's short story The Return.

Director's Bio:
Patrice Chereau began his distinguished career in theatre and segued into film in 1974 with The Flesh of the Orchid. From the Oscar nominated Queen Margot to the controversial Intimacy and the upcoming Gabrielle, Chereau has become one of France's most prestigious directors.
