Cayto are from Scotland and play a very contemporary brand of punk rock, with articulate classical and jazz leanings and a striking and unusual emotional intensity. Hairy and good-
looking, they have just released their debut
full-length album !Blunderbuss! and are currently promoting it throughout the UK.

Lithe and unpredictable, Cayto’s album, like their
live shows, moves from the unhinged and bilious
(stop-start explosive post-rock genius), through the breathlessly star-kissed (skewed, skewered pop) to the insane (boundary poking jazz-classical-rock crossovers) and the wondrous (lilting, gorgeous emotionalism).

Rum and suspicious, Cayto have been taking their music to Europe over the last year with live performances and upcoming releases of
!Blunderbuss!.

Beginning with South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, the band hope to introduce themselves to the United States in 2006 via touring and a release of !Blunderbuss! Stateside.
