Snowden formed in the summer of 2003 in Atlanta, Ga. and quickly became one of the cities most talked about acts, eventually garnering a best new local artsit award from Creative Loafing. Snowden's sound falls somewhere in the shoegaze / post punk landscape. They've toured the east coast multiple times and played shows with such notable acts as Arcade Fire, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Unicorns, Xiu Xiu, Ambulance Ltd. and Elefant.
