Born in Chicago and raised in Berkley, California, LZ started singing at her mothers church at the age of 5 and has been singing ever since. Mainly known for her back-ground and co-lead vocals, LZ had the pleasure to record with many of the great artists.
LZ is now living in Austin Texas, the live music capital of the World.

Now as 2006 approaches LZ is releasing her best work to date. "My Higher Ground" CD that features Tommy Castro, Michael Franti, Shelly King, Ernest "Boom" Carter from Springsteen's E Street Band, Eric McCann from Bonnie Raitt's group. LZ coproduced the new CD with Jay Bowman, (Producer for Michael Franti Spearhead and Cake.)

"My Higher Ground" is full of Funk, Rock, Modern R&B, Southern Blues. It will appeal to all age groups. This CD has a lot to say, it is the most personal CD that LZ has ever done. We are proud to announce that this CD will be released on Feb 18th, 2006 in Austin Texas.

Music Review below by Bob Anthony:

This LZ Love is going to put the town of Austin on the musical map as confirmed by her newest CD "My Higher Ground". She came from San Francisco and is playing the many venues in this dynamic musical capital city. Most of the early tunes on the CD have a driving rhythm and blues sound although Ms. Love manages to clarify the words for the listener. She put soul and passion into each selection and puts "hope icing on the cake". The other selections show her forte for gospel and jazz singing and her a capella "Trials" gives religious and inspirational magic. Her "Thank You" and "Trials" brings forth the wanderlust of a young lady who spent her teen years taking care of other sibs. The title cut "My Higher Ground" with its two step bounce is a predicter of this young lady's look towards the future in music. She is foremost with her chord jumps and vocal slides that most often are chilling but full of ethos of a young singer who will eventually make her mark in vocals...hopefully by this new CD. Ms. Love wrote or co-wrote all of her material.
