From St. Petersburg, Florida, IMA created original Prog rockish, metal, math rock with elements of noisy laughter and new wave thrash in the early 90's. In 1994 , Tampa label Screw Music Forever released Split 7" with indie legends Home. Inspired by the Minutemen, Ruins, Husker Du, Zoogz Rift, Rush, DEVO, NoMEANSNo, and many others, IMA defies musical expectation or even explanation. Bil Bowman, Matt Simmons and Chris Sturgeon are IMA, and they would be happy to dish out a sonic attack.
