Bronx born singer/songwriter Stephanie Mckay’s work as a recording artist, performer, and master collaborator has made her one of the most in demand vocalists on the scene today. She has paid her dues from recording two albums with the Brooklyn Funk Essentials, playing guitar in Kelis' band, working with emcees Talib Kweli and Mos def is to name a few. Her first album, Mckay (produced by Geoff barrow of Portishead) was released in Europe to international critical acclaim; with journalists describing it as a cross between classic sixties soul with a touch of electronica and hip hop. Now signed to Astralwerks in the US, Stephanie’s sophomore album will be released later this year.
