Suzi Stern

Jazz vocalist Suzi Stern, now based in Austin Texas, was born in Buffalo New York, to parents who were both professional Jazz musicians.
Having studied primarily with horn players, Suzi’s approach to singing has been said to be more instrumental than vocal at times.
She is a published poet and writes most of her own lyrics to jazz classics, and her own original compositions.
From collaborations with David Friesen, Joe Henderson, Joshua Redmond and Denny Zeitlin, Stern’s lyrics appear in several Hal Leonard Publications and have been recorded by artists world wide.
