The Brakes

Coming off their recent support slot for The Disco Biscuits at Philadelphia’s legendary Tower Theater, The Brakes were hand-selected from among hundreds of local artists to be featured in H&R Block’s new “TaxCut program” advertising campaign.
Starting on January 8, television ads featuring the band performing their song “Special” (from EP Vol. 1) have begun to appear on networks like MTV, VH1, FOX, WB and Comedy Central with recent sightings during favorites like The Daily Show and The Simpsons. Additionally, the band will also be the face of the “TaxCut Program’s” print campaign which includes the back cover of the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, the January 26, 2006 issue of Rolling Stone and upcoming issues of Us Weekly. The band is also excited to announce their invitation to showcase at this year’s SXSW Conference in Austin, TX, placing them even further in the national eye. |
