The Anointed Voicez
Recognizing their divine anointing — and even stronger vocal harmonies and solid music section — The Anointed Voicez has definitely gashed the barrier between traditional quartet and contemporary gospel music; as Houston's fastest emerging artist, they undertake both young and old audiences, contemporary and traditional gospel music with equivalent aptitude, anointing, flamboyancy, dignity and grace.

The Anointed Voicez eight personnel line-up was founded and formed between Houston, TX and Ville Platte, La in January 2003, through the kindred of Rev. James K. Sayles, DeMarcus and Randle Arvie.

The group’s music ministry was most inspired by great artists such as Dr. Bobby Jones, The Williams Brothers, The Christianaires, The Canton Spirituals, Greg Kelly, and The Wonderful Harmonizers of Huntsville, TX – who is near and dear to the group.

In late 2002, Bishop James Sayles and DeMarcus Arvie developed the group’s initial strategy and goals. The initial strategy consisted of God’s divine anointing exclusively; as a matter of fact, the kindred decided that the group would focus on God’s presence before soliciting any additional members. This part of the strategy consisted of God’s leadership, prayer, fasting and consecrated thought processes. In the midst of prayer and supplication with God, DeMarcus began training Deqoure Sayles, son of Bishop James Sayles, for his role as keyboard player and Randle Arvie, drummer and vocalist, relocated to the Houston area for assistance in the formation of the group and musical staff.

With God in the forefront, Bishop Sayles solicited membership from long-time singing partner, Rev. JT Hines. At the time, Rev. Hines was managing the JoyAires Singers of Houston, a group that Bishop Sayles originally co-founded and was formerly a member of. As the music composition and nomenclature was being developed, the group was blessed to engage in sacred conversation with Rev. Jermaine Love, as another keyboard/organ player and background vocals. Rev. Love became a member of the group shortly thereafter. At this point, the group was undergoing great exertion and stampeding through a number of great musicians to find a guitar and bass guitarist. Just as the need for resonant and satiated music became a necessity, the group was blessed with Brother Wendell Alston as the group’s bassist, who also joined the group shortly thereafter, to help promote and develop sated but anointed composition and arrangements. As the group’s music and composition was starting to “jell” expansively, the group was blessed with the services and assistance of one of the most anointed and talented guitarist, Ezra Bryant of the Wonderful Harmonizers, to seal off the musical arrangements. At this time, the group has one of the most dominant gospel music section in the southern states that accompany its melodic and harmonic voice arrangements.
